If you need a spot to throw it you can use my bin. I am not a SNOB.

thks "vaine"! I promise the bag will be tied will not rip & will not throw any #3's in there. if the poop really stinks I'll double up the bag!!

another pt - at least I am not wasting all those grocery plastic bags, bread & english muffin bags, vegetable/fruit plastic bags, even use the newspaper plastic sleeve bags but just throwing them away! they get a 2nd life to carry more!

I own a Black Lab, and I'm fortunate to have a large fully fenced back yard , but if I were you .. I'd bag it and carry it back to your can. If you don't want to carry it that far .. make sure your dog gets it done closer to your home .

I do not own a dog however I am not a dog hater. In my opinion you should just take it home and dispose of it on your own property. It might seem like an after thought to you but you have to understand that some people hate dogs and dog owners. Your putting dog feces in their trash bin could easily be seen as in insult. Frankly if someone did it to me, I would take it out of my trash can and "return" it to them. It is the principle of it. It is about having respect for peoples wishes.

Have a dog. Love dogs.

That said. You should walk it home to your house. If I caught you putting dog crap in my garbage can I'd flip so bad you wouldn't want to walk down my side of the street again. To put your dogs crap in my garbage because you don't feel like carrying it home is a sign of ignorance, lazyness, and a lack of caring. Also as said it's principle, which many people seem to not get now days. I have to deal with **** ups enough on a day to day, that I wouldn't accept a neighbor doing that. My .02.

Here's my answers.

2b - why? Because the rubbish bin is usually out to be collected if it's out here, so no worries about smells etc.

And because I'm lazy to carry it all the way home when got a dog in each hand also!

I wouldn't mind if someone dumped in mine. It's what it's there for right? Rubbish? Not like it comes inside or anything!

Mind, you don't have to pay to have bins emptied here, council just does it for free.

Now it's when my neighbours half full my bin after rubbish has been collected for the week because there's is full that pisses me off!

I have two dogs, a Border Collie and a Whippet. This is them here (with another love of my life, my car lol)

with that said, so true!

it's still 50/50 split between the Ok to do it & the the principly challenged don't do it.

just curious, what do you do with your dog's poop when you walk it?

nice pic! like 2 hood ornaments for your car!

so, to continue - like tomorrow is wed. collection day. so we all leave our cans out tonite. so for those "don't do it you lazy s.o.b.'s" still say I should carry the BAG back?

I personally hope other dog owners who walk by my house/street pick up, bag it, then dump it. if it's my trash can then so be it. better in the can than in the street or worst yet in the grass lurking to surprise some unsuspecting person who walks on it! like me or my kids!

so I just did my "duty" walking my akita - but the Q? is where did I put the BAG?!

I would carry it home, in fact that's what I always do, unless there happens to be a public trash can on the way. Why? It's disrespectful to use someone else's trash can as your own. I'm a dog owner and dog lover, but I'd be upset if I caught someone doing that on my property.

thks, respect your reply - unlike some others who get a bit testy in their opinions.

No worries, I won't deny that I've been tempted once or twice, but it's very important to me to be a responsible dog owner. Not that I'm calling you irresponsible, far from it, but so many cities are becoming less and less dog friendly due to irresponsible dog owners, that I feel responsible dog owners need to go the extra mile to counter that. I never, ever let Kuma potty on other people's yards for the same reason, even if I clean it up immediately, I feel it's disrespectful of their property, so I don't do it. Just my opinion of course. :)
