State of chaos
This might sound stupid, but my Leopard Gecko got away for the first time today, and I ended up sliding furniture around to get him back out. I still like to handle him when I'm doing other things, IE, surfing MFK, but I don't want to risk having him get under a piece of furniture that I can't move. Can I buy the smallest size Lizard leash and put it on him in my room so he can have free roaming time without the risk of him getting away?

lol Yeah it would be extremely cute :grinyes: Here are some pictures I found on my innernetz.

Gecko are way to small for leashes.... I ould only say it would be ok for something like a big monitor. Reason being, monitors wouldn't have a problem hauling a little extra weight around, however, a gecko would.

dont do it. thoose leashes can work for beardies and monitors and iguanas. but would not work for any gecko species. they will tear the geckos skin and the gecko is too small. they are made for tough scaled lizards. and when put on a thin skinned lizard they will tear the lizards skin. also it would be too much weight on the geckos back. hope this helps...

Hmm. Aww, I was kinda looking foreward to walking the little guy around... LOL
Would it be possible to remove the harness and replace it with something softer? Like felt maybe?

no because the weight would still be too much. i tried a leash on dwarf chuckawalla and it weighed too much. it also rubbed him raw, and since his skin was tougher then the geckos i can't imagine what it would do to a gecko. maybe if you made one out of string it would work. use the same pattern with the H design and the leash coming off of it, but make it out of string, that way it would weigh less. but even then it might rub too much. sorry to be so negative, but my chuckawalla took over a year to recover and he was sooo miserable...

Wow that sucks. Okay so no-go on the commercial ones. Maybe I could make one with felt and braided fishing line.
