I have an offer to trade my 3 acestros and my V- tigerfish for a 2ft jardini. My fish are all about 6-8”
If I did this the jardini would be a solo wet pet. I’m having a helluva time deciding so any opinions are appreciated

I personally love jardini arowana. Jardinis are so expensive these days. It sounds like a fair trade. I'd do it.

Easy choice for me; assuming there is an appropriately sized tank awaiting it, I would go for the jardini in a heartbeat. I never get tired of watching the movement of an arowana; in contrast, those other fish just seem like herring with teeth. Cool at first, but to me their appeal would be very temporary.

But, honestly, I have never understood these "which should I choose?" questions. Who but you can possibly answer that?

I was asking because I’ve never kept a jardini, but have kept lots of toothy characins, thanks for replying!

That makes the choice even easier! Jardini all the way. You've already gone the skinny-piranha route; now get something classy! :)

Incidentally, I personally find a jardini every bit as impressive as a formosus, as long as you are happy with natural wild colouration. Much, much nicer than a silver or black.

Lol it does make it a little easier, especially considering I’d still have a chalceus and a Hujeta in on of my other tanks

Yep, and those...along with the "barracudas" and tiger...will make great feeders for the aro if you are into that kind of thing. :)
