Opinions on Tank Size

The 500 has a 3.8 on the safety factor...is there somewhere to look that up as good or not?

I also have an eheim 2262, fx6 and 3 ac110's ready to go for it along with lighting and heaters. I'm not a sump person and much prefer canister/hob combo.

I would just consider what I would be keeping, how much space I have to work with/is ideal and how many people would be seeing it aside from you. If you're not keeping rays losing the foot of width isn't a big blow, and in some ways I feel a compact tank would be easier to turn into a show tank, and of course the clear side panels would work to that effect. If no one see's it but you the 500 is far and away the best bang for your buck and the most versatile.

With the cost between the 375 and the 500 there is no reason not to go with the 500 if you have room for it.

.5 Glass is too thin! Big fish face slam = broken tank!

You're the first to say that for a 24" high tank....I just ordered the 500....the boss (wife lol) had to know before I ordered lol.

500 would also be my choice.

Already ordered it :). Now the 9-12 week wait until it arrives.
