I recently picked up a brand new Jebo 950 jumbo canister cheap on ebay and wanted to know if anybody has any experience with these filters.
I currently use an FX5 which is a dream but I am thinking and planning my filteration set up for my 500g tank.
2 X FX5? or 1 X FX5 + 1 X 950 or 1 X FX5 + Laguna 8000UVC ???
I am not sure which set up would be the best and the most practical.
Any thoughts?

I have a 400 gallon tank I use 2 Rens XP4's a Lifeguard 900 fluidized bed filter and a 36 watt UV it seams to work well but my tank is lightly stocked. I also drip about 50 gallons a day of fresh water into the tank. I probably wouldn't have a big tank with out a drip system, its so easy to do a gravel clean every few days then not to have to worry about filling up the tank.

i run a jebo filter, was running 2. its a 1200l/h model but am unsure if its the one you mention. but jebo are good if your on a tight budget but i wouldnt use them on a tank that size. if you have the option of getting 2 x Fx5's then i would go with that option.
jebo are good for themoney and a short term fix but if i wasnt on a budget at the time i bought it i would have got an fx5 or eheim classics.

THe 950 isn't a bad filter .... Eheim 2260 copy but with media baskets.
A Laguna 8000UVC is useless on a Aquarium tank

I have two available and i love them but are they enough for the biological filteration of 500g??
They are great for mechanical but I have been told not so flash at biological.

I think the performance of the filter is quickly revealed by the quality of the water.

If your filter turns over your tank enough and keeps the levels where they should be; it is a good filter.

Personally, I swear by FX5's and even my 404's. I have quite a few filters but one I will never buy NEW is a Jebo. I don't like the quality of components, how much assembly is involved, the list goes on.

It has been a few years since I have had one but the past has me steering clear.
