I am gonna go out on a limb and make a comparison.
When I do a catering gig, there is huge amounts of stuff that people do not see.
Take the wedding I did a month ago. 3% of the actual work got seen by the people for whom I did the function for. In less than 1/2 hour 1 weeks worth of work was over and done. Do the people need to know about all the footwork and background to their meal?
Hell no!!!!!!!
All they need to know is they got what they paid for and their guests got some pizazz in the form of the finishing touch with the reception and midnight service.
Really look at the format this show is on Animal Planet and take a look at the show for what it is a reality show!
For those of you that think there is not concern for the well being of the fish I would say think again. Look into the supplier they use for their fish. If you think that company is going to align itself with senseless slaughter of fish think again.
I have a way that I can bang straight out of the tap water into a tank and have fish in 15 minutes later and not lose a single fish. It is called using establish media and in tank decor that has been seeded by previously being in a tank. Would it make for good tv to take valuable air time and run through the mechanics of cycling etc... I think not.
