That's the best I could get of her. She's in the top tank of my 50B rack.
When her tail is fully out, her dorsal, tail & anal fin make a complete wrap.

Her eye is fine. I think it's the flash showing.
Thanks - her face is a bit long. But that's really the only complaint I have with her.
I have a 36x12 footprint tank at the new place waiting for her. It's painted a light green, I hope it'll bring her colors out.

Yeah he was awesome, I miss him.
He'd let me pet him& when I had my arm in his tank he'd come up rub against it& fan it until I pet him. He died begining of last winter.

That's why I wanna use this female. Because it's one of his fry.

The 1st fish you were asking about is a ZZ Silk base. Definitely a Thai fish and is no where close to being a VN fish. The 2nd two tone fish reminds me of Indo ZZ's...relatively hard to get. The ZZ Silk base alone is well worth $200 if he's proven fertile. Number one reason why I said is because that male with your female will make a lot of nice Kamfamalau with Kamfa blood being on the heavier side. Julie have decent fish but I will tell you something, your female isn't something easy to breed. Simply is because she's a kamfa, they tend to be picky and they are very insecure. Go with a male that has proven fertile and have experience around females. Go with a fresh male like from Julie, and more than likely they will fight. Main reason is because Julie's fish are young(90% of the young males are very short tempered and have no idea what they're doing), and they grow small(no bigger than 8"). Your female will grow to be huge...kamfa base will always be that way. That male from MI would be my pick if I was to have the option between the two male you posted. :)
P.S. - Don't worry about the male's tail if your going to breed him. Your female have a very good chance of fixing that tail.

He has fertilized at least 3batches
