Opinions on whether or not world will end in 2012

The bottom line, that I guess people don't get is, if the world ends, the world ends. That same principle is true for almost anything; religion, life, whatever. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. People need to learn to just kick back and enjoy the life they have, whether something happens after we die or not, and whether or not we will die in a way like this. If people would just relax and believe what they want to believe without trying to burn it onto others, the world would be a better place.

scientificlly speaking, the world would truly end when the moon orbited so close to the earth that it would collide with the earth, or when the earth orbitedso close to the sun that it would get absorbed ino the sun...
