Quarantine Tank
34.75"H X 96" L X 23.5"W & 5/8" plexiglass

1. Do you think this tank is thick enough not to bow or distort?

2. Will this tank fit through a standard door?

:feedback: :feedback: :feedback:

1. you telling me that it will bow out?

That's definatly not thick enough to use for water. Standard interior doors are 30" and most main/exterior doors are 36" so it would fit through a door as long as you dont have any bends to make once you get in the house.

:lol3: i ment that no, you don't know the width of the door.

NOOOOOO!!!!!

How risky would to be to fill?

Plexi glass is made to bend instead of break. It will definitely bend, but I don't think it will break. Now the seals on the other hand, might give way with all that flexing as you fill it.

Its pretty tall.....

Would there be ANY way to reainforce it?

Heres a pic. PLEASE help me figure out a way to make this tank work!!!

I want to really bad!!!

That would depend on how heavilly braced it is on top and the EXACT composition of the material. Plexi tanks sold for rep use have very little upper bracing...if at all.

Ok the picture helps out a LOT. thats a higher grade acrillic than plexi and from the bracing arangement on the top it was intended for aquarioum use. All acrillic tanks flex (bow) to some extent but in this case the bracing on the top will definatly control it...Long story short...if it wont fit through your doors it will mine... I prefur glass and just picked up an 8 footer but I wouldn't hesitate to add another 350....lol...fill it and have a ball.
