Ok the picture helps out a LOT. thats a higher grade acrillic than plexi and from the bracing arangement on the top it was intended for aquarioum use. All acrillic tanks flex (bow) to some extent but in this case the bracing on the top will definatly control it...Long story short...if it wont fit through your doors it will mine... I prefur glass and just picked up an 8 footer but I wouldn't hesitate to add another 350....lol...fill it and have a ball.

YES!!!! :headbang2

its all mine bwahahahhaahah!!! and its only $700

thou i think it would fit through a standard front door perhaps??? arent front doors wider typically???

Yes most front doors are 34" or 36" wide. you can take them off the hinges for a little extra...Oh and about extra bracing for the tank...build the stand with a tight upper lip and that should help with the bowing problem.

Thanks wolf, Ill have to custom order a stand but for $700 i cant pass this up!

I think it would work ok. Acrylic is very strong.
Fill it up 3/4 and see how its doing before you top it off.

im now certain that it will work. ive talked to the guy on the phone and it turns out he is actually a very well known person in the industry. :)

ill keep you all updated if i get it.

thanks guys!!!

extra shot out to my buddy who helped hooked this up, you know who you are!:naughty:

heres one last question for FRT owners...

do you think the height of this tank will be a problem for an FRT???

From the picture the material is very high quality you can usually tell by looking down the cross section of the panes. Normal plexi is cloudy while this is VERY clear. I'm designing the stand for our new 8 footer because nothing I've found matched the three we already have. The original plan was for a 300 but we got such a deal on this 240 that we couldn't pass it up. The only differance between them is the depth (hight) and that wont matter for what we need. Definatly post pictures of the progress on your 350. It should be quite a showpiece when you're done with it.

buy it and fill it. I have one just like it. It will bow out slightly if you look at it from the end but it will be ok.

Im crossed eyed half the time anyways so itll just look straight if it does bow out alittle.
