Opportunity Knocks!

Hey Tomka, When you decide which ones to keep and which ones to sell, do you simply go by the size and the looks only? Any thoughts of having male/female combinations? Probably they are too small to figure that. May be the smaller ones are the females? What do you think?

I do not know their sex. I put the 6 of the biggest ones in this tank that I thought had the best potential in my opinion... which don't mean much! & i have 4 very small ones in a 20 gallon with some geos that I am keeping as well. So I am sure there is a mix of males & females between 10 of them!

Well, if you are keeping the biggest and the smallest, I agree that there will be both males and females in the mix. From what I read (on the internet) the females will be smaller than the males even at the little stage. http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/cichlid/breedingcichla.php

Here are the tiny ones from this import... I think they may be from different parents because they are so much smaller than the others. What do you guys think?
