Hello everyone
Please have a look on those 2 guys picked from my local shop and help me guess the ID.
One is probably venustus but the other one seems harder to guess.
Mayby eye biter??

Just a quick question about Venustus
Here is my:

He have quite a lot ‘black’ colour. His belly and fins are almost fully black. On picks found on internet usually belly and fins are yellow.
Interestingly there is another venustus in my LFS and he looks pretty different to my.

Iam a little confused, is it normal to them to look so differently??

It might be a Nimbochromis livingstonii or a cross.

I'd agree,. Most likely a livingstonni or a cross. They can sometimes be a lil difficult to ID, as at a young age livingstonni and venustus look very similar untill the start to come into their specie's color. I'd say the one at the LFS still, is a male venustus as it's starting to come into it's mature male coloration.

I think the pictured Venustus's color change has more to do with mood, rather than a link to hybridization.
