Unless you are replacing a panel of glass I would not remove the silicone that is holding the glass panes in place. I would just remove the corner bead, clean that up nice and re-silicone that.

I try to be very aware of where the glass joints are when removing the interior silicone. I prefer to use a flat blade razor scraper to remove the majority of the fillet bead to avoid slipping the blade between the glass panes.
