I have a 75 gallon tank with a green terror and a 3.5 inch musk turtle. I am trying to decide which route to go on stocking it. Should I get another Green Terror and shoot for a pair or should I get a school of giant danios to put with my green terror or should I add a fire mouth and a convict. Which option would you all choose. I would like for the tank to be active but I would also like for it to work long term. I can't wait to hear what you all decide. Thanks

I would probably just leave it alone maybe adding a small group of dithers for movement

I agree with Jaws. I would maybe do Columbian tetras or Bueno Aries tetras. A nice school would look great.

Thats the cool thing about dithers atleast for me i dont have any attachments to them. You can try different species, ya dont like one trade them in for others. I go through dithers like crazy lol

The ones cichlid mentioned are cool, i dont like sd's i like the way tiger barbs school.

Maybe rainbow fish..i guess look into different tetras/barbs

A single GT and a school of tetras is probably the best way to go, though you could get lucky and find one other compatible, smaller sized cichlid, but you would have to be prepared to remove it immediately if things go south. It is a bit of a guessing game with aggression levels of some fish.. I have two juvie severums in a 75 and they bicker now and again. GTs are more aggressive so I would be wary of more than one cichlid of this kind in a 4 foot aquarium.

With my sevs I have a school of black skirt tetras; aggressive eaters like silver dollars, but a lot smaller so kind of cute rather than annoying; i agree that the columbian red fins are a very cool looking fish and have always wanted some of them. Get those and share your pics!

ETA: I tend to prefer keeping regional fish together so probably wouldn't get barbs as they are asian whereas tetras and SA cichlids can potentially have lived in the same environment. That is only a personal preference, however, and I have been know to break my own rule (keeping rasporas with some CA cichlids)!

Meh who cares whats from what body of water mrs nicky already has a musk turtle so dont think we are aiming for being geographically correct. Plus if they arent from the same river system or boy of water whats the difference if they are from two different continents unless a biotope was the goal

Densisen barbs are pretty nice too
