I know this is pretty bad dimensions for an african tank ( let alone cichlid tank), but would just like to know what my option would be

Was thinking about making a nice rock reef, what should i do ( pseudos and mbuna will get to big right?) was looking to stock this tank up real well, and will have overkill on filtration
let me know of your opinions

its got the foot print of a 30 gallon so it works out to be like 36 long by 12 wide by 23 high
very very very tall

yea i didnt think i could fit much in there
ill check out dwarf mbuna for sure, you have any cool species i should be on the watch for?
we have a bunch of shellies at my work as well, i think i might throw my tank of brevis into that mix as well

an only shellie tank seems like a huge waste since its 23" deep haha

The depth opens you up to multiple shellies and small lamps. I have have dwarf comps, lamp capunk, multies all in the same tanks. I am growing out some v. Moori with them. I am sure you could do a mix of small lamps with them as well.

alright ill keep you updated with my plans for the tank

was thinking id throw in some daffidil, brevis, ocellatus, and multies

how would i got about using the extra height for shellies? ledges??
