yea thanks thats what i was planning on doing
ill keep you guys updated, hopefully i have the aquascaping done this weekend and fish in next week
 
this is what im thinking for the stock

multi harem x 4-5
brevis- proven pair
ocellatus- x 4
and maybe something else like tetracanthus

i was also thinking of doing a pretty large group of juli's
either ornatum or trans 10-14

someone mentioned to use dithers before, what is considered a dither as far as african cich's go

When I have free swimming space in my African tanks, I tend to fill it with cyprichromis. Cyprichromis leptosoma (the regular ones, not the "Jumbos") get to around 3-4" and would be well-suited to take up some of that water column space.

still torn between stock, think it would be a better use of the tank to make a rock reef in so will be grabbing some juli kilipi in a few days
