I had a change to buy a orange jardini a couple years back, but I didn't. I regret it so much, it looked very yellow/orange....and it was only $150.00 It was about 14 inches too. Does anyone here have one??? Anyone know how they get that color.

I've never seen or heard of one but I'd like to.

what happens in the states if you find that your jardini is an Xback, do you have to kill it?

If it was the fish's natural color, this jar would be worth almost as an asian aro, IMO. And if so, $150 was a very good price for it. I have never seen a jar with that color at > 10" long.

My jar had that color when he was a baby, but the color started fading away when he was around 6". He's now having greenish color, but I'm happy with that.

I'm sure that it was a jardini, because it still has spots. The store labelled it as a saratoga. which is just a jardini still. I should of bought it was I had the chance. It was similar to this picture:
