Man ive tried that and they still wont sink. Even after sitting in a cup for 30 minutes they all dont sink. I would have to pinch the ones that are still floating for them to sink. Weird because they are supposed to be sinking pellets. I guess thats just what im going to have to do to feed them those. I returned the first can, went to a different store and same thing. Expires 2017.

You can hold the pellets in your hand submerged and they will sink after a few seconds. Then you slowly open up your hand and release the pellets.

Thanks for the tip. Ill try that. Theyll have to immediately sink or else it will be really inconvenient to have to change filter socks every time i feed them and a waste of food. Some other pellets i have that are supposed to be sinking type do this to me too. Its really frustrating.

I might just have to use a feeding ring which is what i was trying to avoid. Kind of an eyesore if i leave it in the tank and kind of a hassle to put it in every time. It would be so much easier if they sank right way because the top of my tank is 70" from the floor. I could just reach up and drop them in a small gap up there.
