Sure you haven't got air getting into filter through pipe fittings, filter should shut of every 12 hours I think it is,, to realise air from filter,, might be every 24 hours

90gal - all the videos say the top is the output, but I thought the bottom was as well, which is why I put them in the order I did.

Set your filter up like I said and you will have good water quality and your filter will only need cleaning every 20 days ( depending on how you have stocked your tank)

I have removed the 2 way outlet nozzle from my filters and replaced with a 15 mm push fit elbow, this increases the power of the water coming out of the outlet

So you get more water movement,,

You don't have to use biohome media or eheim media but the general set up should be the same,,

Yer that's right water goes through top tray first then the 2nd tray then the bottom tray and back to the tank

I have the regular sponges on the outside. 1 black bio sponge (Not carbon) on the top and all bio media after that. Clean the filter every 4-5 months.
