I had one shipped to me with a bad thermostat it would not turn off. All the rest of mine seem to be working great. I have 4 others right now.

Aqueonpro heaters are awesome. I have the "indestructible" ones, they're pure black and aren't glass. Mine were 25-30 from drfosters.

Hope it does well for you, looking at a Jager or Fluval for my tank since my AquaTop went bad.
The Jager 300w is rated up to over 150 gallons! Actually rate their 200w for almost 100 gallons, but the 200w seem hard to find... I'm assuming less wattage means less electricity use, but hopefully the 300w will even out on "on time".
Almost picked up an Aqueon 300w, but the LFS had it at $50, when it goes for $22 on Amazon...

Not only that a 300 watt Jaguar will overpower a 75 gal, it is also physically too tall to fit vertically in a 75 gal. When it comes to selecting heater, more power is not better but can be hazardous as it is vulnerable to overheating the tank. Jaquar heater is very efficient and you need lower wattage to heat the same tank than comparable brands. My 125 gal is heated by a 250 watt Jaguar and I was expecting that a second heater was needed. I was wrong and surprised that a single 250 watt is adequate to maintain optimum temperature in my 125 gal above the minimum temperatuere of 65F in my heated room.

I got a 300w jager heater 1.5 months ago and it worked well for the first month, but now it is so inconsistent. The orange light is always on, but most of the time it isn't generating any heat. I'm not a fan of the glass submersible aqueon heaters; I've had 3 fail on me one of which killed my big male trimac.
