I would try to mix some mazuri tortoise pellets with his food. You can moisten them with fruit juice. I started feeding it almost exclusively and love the results.. He is thicker and brighter and overall looks better.

ill grab some of those this weekend and give it a shot. hes still only eating real small amounts. ive been feeding him dandelion greens, kale, endive, mustard greens, collard greens, grapes, blue berries, bell pepper, and carrots daily. he seems to like all of that stuff. so i dont think he will be a real picky eater:D

Yeah, those are pretty sweet names:headbang2

That guy is awesome. I've never seen a baby either. The last show I went to though, somebody had a nice big pair of adults.

It could be in my area they are scrawny and no big deal.
I have seen a few big ones which rare but only green nothing like that pic.

Imagine in other areas must be bigger but here they look like pet store low quality iguanas

But if you cach one of thouse and have the time, pacience, money and space to keep it and raise it to adulthood I garantee you will endup with something just as pretty as that;) Buy the way now that its Decembar, what temps are you felling there and how they cope with winter?

Temp today is 78 to 80 in mid afternoon now like 75 at 6 pm and rainy.

During the winter nights that get to high 50s next day has still gone up to 70s /80s . Granted some days it has stayed in 60s during day but rare and usually Dec to Feb a handfull of days that happens.

The iguanas I have seen on cold night have been by lake shore or few feet out resting on floating plants. The water here ESP canals stay warm all yr long . The cichlids will go deeper and avoid the shallow cooler areas.

Just like last year when night temps drop below 70 day after day my back yard goes from countless anoles-house geckos -skinks,etc to very very few till March comes. In theory they dont hibernate but they sure dissapear.
