Ordering Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would not say many. They all have some WC I would have concerns of anyone who has many WC and F1 as there selling point. Also no one can really prove there collection point as there imported not collected as far as I know.

But that applies to every other fish store out there. At least they have the credibility and happy customers to back it up.

What? I would retype my post but you quoted it. I directly responded to your post and your response is this......there shadows in the dark! My direct point is that you were not factually correct to state that MANY of there fish are WC. Also my point was that you were pointing out that MANY of there fish are WC and F1 when a lot of that is actually here say. My post and yours did not say anything about LFS or did the OP? So what was your point?

But many of them are wild caught and F1 lol I still don't get what you're arguing. What do you think "many" means? It definitely doesn't mean all of their stock is wild caught or f1 but they often do carry em, more often than many other stores.

The guy said that bluegrassaquatics is overpriced because their fish are pure bred (1" f1 festae for $23)... I said I can find a much cheaper wild caught fish of the same size: Cichlidoftheamericas has 1" wild caught festae at $12.50.

He also has Umbee for $17. They don't state if they are f1, f2, f3 so I'm gonna assume they don't know. I can get a $7.50 f1 Umbee from tangledupincichlids.com

So there I proved my point twice :nilly:

Sorry I loose interest in long post. Take the time to go thru there list and put there MANY WC in bold.....I might be missing something. To me it seems like maybe 10% are WC. Most of there stock does not specify generation. Anyway not worth my time good luck OP. Also not trying to argue with you just your point sorry and good luck.

Back to the OP question. I have purchased fish from Rapps @ tangledupincichlids, Dan @ Cichlids of the Americas, & Gage @ Cichlid Connection. I was pleased with all the fish. I was mostly pleased with the service from Rapps and Gage. As for cost you cant beat Dan. But when I go looking to purchase lately, I go to Gage @ Cichlid Connection. Just look up his posts here on MFK and you will find his recent stock list with prices.

Good luck.

Gage is a solid guy and his shipping is super reasonable compared to some others (madness and I are both in the NW). And he carries a lot of bigger stuff you won't find other places. Did you see that 12" WC regani he posted yesterday?

If I was looking to order fish Gage would be my go to guy.

BTW - since when is anyone collecting 1" festae in the wild? When I see 1" fry I'm tending to think tank/pond bred F1's at best, not WC.

okayi looked into all the web sites you guys provided and noone has more then 3 cuabns and i need more then that to try and get a breeding pair and the same goes for the grammodes is there anyother site that are good and safe to order from

I would agree with most of this. Can't really go wrong with any of them.

I have thought the same....how are fry collected? Also agree that Gage has it all and I have been happy dealing with him and was in no way disappointed.
