Ordering plecs online

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah after rereading your previous post I realized you hadn't paid yet. Well at least you are not out any money if he doesn't get back with you. That is the one problem with ordering through online auctions. You don't know who you are dealing with and if they are legit.

Yeah I guess your never too old too learn something.lol I was thinking how easy it is to scam someone online. All I know is that if I was selling a fish and someone asked me a question on it I would get back with them as soon as posssible. Seems to be good biz practice.

Especially if there was money to be made, you would think he would have responded, to you after the purchase and me before.
To be honest if he had a really nice photo or at least replied with a nice one and I had a
better feeling about him I would have purchased both of them outright for the buy now price and never had let the auction finish.

oops again, My daughter keeps hitting the keys. She is 3. Anyway when I talked to him Monday I wanted to meet him at the Toledo Zoo which is about 60 miles for me. He said about 10 for him he is in Ohio he said no maybe in a few weeks. I told him if I liked the one I would buy the other too. I think he was kinda put off that I got the thing for $41. Wellhe did say he was going to put the other one up for bid and it is a lot bigger. Like I said I will wait and see what happens.

Well here it is 10-31-08 and still have not heard from the seller of the L-24 pleco. If he calls now he can stick the pleco up his ***. I guess buying fish online for me was not the way to go.

I am assuming you still haven't heard from him. Its not the purchasing online
that is the problem it is who the purchase is from.
I just purchased 3 L273 from snook21 who sells in the Buy & Sell forum and
was great to work with. He gets quite a few selections in. Also Rapps has a
nice selection of Plecos also and is a quality vendor just a little higher priced.
L24 and L25 are going to be hard pressed to find anytime soon though,
I have seen them overseas but you might as well give an arm and leg to get them over here.

Well actually I heard from him on Sunday. He told me he was in the hospital for his sugar. So I did send him a money order and told him to let me know when he ships the pleco. He has a larger one that he thinks is an L-160(spiny monster pleco) He says it is 7 inches and he will sell that one to me for 60 bucks. I will wait and see what the L-24 looks likw when it comes if it ever gets here. I know L-160's are impossible to find so Imay consider buying that one from him also. How big are your L273's?

Actually Rapps had some L160 a couple of weeks ago, but I was set on the L24 and/or
L25s. Next time I looked they were sold out. I talked to Rapps about L25s and he said
that he had some in about 4-5 weeks ago but that they did not do so well. I am assuming
that he means health wise. Told me he won't be getting any
in anytime in the forseeable future. I check his site very regularly and never seen the L25s but I
guess I missed them.

Then I seen the 273s which are turning out to be really nice. They are 5'' or so. I am hoping that
I got a female in the trio so as to set up a breeding pair in the future.

Here is the link to the photos I took three hours after they arrived. The colors have
intensified quite a bit since then. Strong yellow/gold and black.
