Oregon Coast Aquarium Field Trip

Yesterday our whole school (155 K-8 students) took a trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The blown glass is part of a temporary exhibit created by a glass artist across the street from the aquarium.

I wish I had paid more attention - I'm not sure what it is! Anybody got an ID?

Glad you liked them! The tank was about 5' in diameter by 6' or 7' tall.


Here's a few more. The touch pools were a big hit. One had a couple types of rays and some small sharks. The other was a tidepool environment with urchins, anemones, and starfish.

Hey just curious, did they put anything on the barbs on the rays?? I'd hate to see what would happen if some kid got stung by one.. There would go the petting part.
