Oreochromis mossambicus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The have wire bases. If I want them tethered I wrap a rock to them and the base will sink giving the leafy parts a naturally upward growing look.
In this tank I hooked the wire base up and out of the back of the tank where the filter intake is and it looks more floaty.

Thank you.
When I saw the picture of this fish in my aquarium atlas,
I literally said to myself,
"That is the fish, and THE fish I will fight blood and tears over."
I want one so bad,
How would I go about getting one in the PacificNW?

I didn't know they were invasive at all,
I'm going to go pull up as much information as I can now.

They remind me of a green terror,
with a different tone and shape.

Personality wise what are they like?

nice fish, i saw my first live tilapia in kenya africa in one of the many lakes me and my dad visited when we went a few years back, thought they where super cool, he thought they looked yummy... been looking for some since just havnt found the ones i like. gotta love a fish with thoose lips, they just give em attitude, i think thats why i like parachromis and dempseys so much...
