these are my rio metas for comparison i think you will honestly have to form your own opinion i see alot of similarity but the next person may not its all opinion as markings very between every fish .

Nobody here can confirm they are rio metas. Ever since Rapps brought in that batch of Metas, people call anything that's green a rio meta. The only thing you can be sure of, is that it comes from the Orinoco river system. Trying to pinpoint which drainage (out of the thousands that connect to the Orinoco) is silly and futile.
I think both of the ones you have look very similar. One of them is obviously showing stressed/excited coloration.

Behold, the mighty Orinoco, and all it's drainages. The part in green is approx where the Rio Meta is. How somebody can positively say a fish came from that area is beyond me. Just look at how big this river system is.

So then it would be preposterous for a person to say that they collected a bug on my back yard fence and note for further research that it was collected from my back yard fence or to advertise the bug for sale by saying i caught this bug on fish junkies back yard fence ? That i disagree with completely . Thats how scientists classify and reclassify things when they notice a variance .
However Jose ive read your posts and i know you've done your homework especially with the orinos so with all due respect, my fish were purchased from a reputable vendor as wild caught Rio meta orinos .
So lets just hope that the vendors are being legit and actually have what they advertise because honestly none of us will ever know unless we pull it from the river ourselves . And until such a time that its proven we cant trust our vendors my fish are rio meta orinos and coolermasters fish appear to look like them .
in all honesty they could all be farm raised in florida who knows .
