Orino !?!?!

Doesn't really look orino to me. I think it may end up being on Ocellaris. I'll let the experts decide

And this is why is say not an orino. Young orinos have very symmetrical spots/patterns when young. And when they start to get gold rings, it will appear as 4 gold dots around the black circles.

And this is 'sp. Peru', mono, or ocell, I dont know. Notice the odd-shaped markings

^^^^ agree but I know nothing about Orino's really but it looks like an excellent Mono maybe. I need to see it out of the bag and in the tank. The three lateral stripes don't look like Orino's to me imo.

I'm going to agree with J. Regardles, I think that's going to develop into a VERY nice cichla.

Needless to say I am no longer 99% sure it is an orino

The Tail still throws me off but I see what you are saying about the bars

I have had Orinos a few times in the past but this guy really tricked me I guess lol

The fish on the right is not the fish in question

My pictures have gotten worse if anything this grow out tank doesn't even have a background making it impossible to shoot

Im not even thinking Mono at this point but what ever it is (hard to say at this size) possiably a REALLY nice Ocellaris. I don't have much experience with them but the Circular three spot's are very new to me. The only thing I can compair it too would be the Broko from looking here on the site.

Hard to say what it is, but whatever it is, it has very bold markings for such a small size. Its gonna be a stud no matter what it turns out to be. Alpha fish for sure.

Believe it or not the first cichla that I have ever owned looked like and had the same exact marking and they were farmies.
