thanks for the comments. no full tank pics at the moment. i can't get a decent angle. its a huge tank in a small, messy room.

i was thinking about doing the same thing with a shop light. wondering how you liked it??

the shop light works great! less that $30 for the fixture and bulbs. lights up the tank pretty well, but the ends are a little dark. raising the light should take care of that. i'm planning on getting another fixture to put in front to get even lighting from front to back. i'll be suspending them about a foot or so above the tank. i'll get that done in a few weeks.

NICE HOW BIG ARE THEY? WHERE YOU GET THEM

orinos are about 4-5". the 5 largest black bars are 4". the rest of the silver dollars are about 2-3". the severum is about 5-6". all fish from infinite aquatics.
