Just got home from work tonight and did a head count on my fish, i have 8 endli but only counted seven, then i saw one of my ornate has a big tummy like it just ate something, so i counted again thinking i just missed it, but while i was looking at the ornates belly, i knoe one of my endli end up becoming dinner.

Seperate other Endli's from Ornate's asap or that will happen again.

I did already, thats the first thing i did after seeing the ornate like that, i put them in my net breeding tank till i fix my qt tank.

Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 growout Endli's to be at least big enough where Endli's can't fit in the mouth of any of the Ornate's.

Over feed young Poly's their always hungry. Endis can be cannibalistic as well. That ornate will probably be very aggressive

Grow out those endlis in a separate tank until they are little more than half the size of the ornate. Captive bred juvenile endlis growth is pretty fast on tilapia and sinking pellets. Just fill their bellies every other day. If I remember correctly. I got my two CB endlis to grow 3" to 6-7" in a couple months.

Sorry that happened man. Like tlindsey said dont get discouraged. My ornate is an idiot too couldnt keep smaller polys with him until i added a bigger endli who is now the boss. I recently had to add a smaller sen maybe 5 inches to the tank which previously had its tail bitten off by the same ornate now they get along fine. I think it has something to do with the pecking order.
