Ornate bichir don't seem to he growing at all.

I have an ornate that's about 4 years old and its around 19 inches. Its tail got bit up but I'm not counting that. It got to about 16 inches or so in the first 2 years and then slowed down growth a lot

has your ornate got any bigger my one has now shot up to 9 niches and getting quite girthy after months on hardly growing.

I bought two wc ornates at around 4" early august 2019, one is now 16-17" and the other a bit smaller. The bigger one has a better appetite. Their growth have slowed down a lot now. Meanwhile, I had two lapradei back when I first bought the ornates that were about 12". And they are now 13". All fish don't grow at the same rate it appears
