Ornate bichir in a 125g?

Hello! So I plan on moving all the fish out of my 75g and into a 125g that will be empty soon. The fish that will be going in the 125g is
2x delhezi bichirs
1 x male Jack Dempsey
3 x african brown knife fish
1 x Leopard ctenopoma
1 x starlight pleco

so my question is could a ornate bichir be comfortable in a 125g? If not for life how long?

Also would the following fish be compatible with the fish listed?
Odoe Pike
Black Spotted eel
Afer Knife fish

I don’t know about the rest, but I think an ornate would be fine.

Deadeye even size wise? how commonly do 24" ornates pop up thats the only thing im worried about not really aggression

Probably fine due to bichir flexibility and that being a rare max. 18-20 is probably more common.
Comparable to keeping a del in 55.

ok Thanks Deadeye . Has anyone kept one over 20"? and is their growth rate similar to other upper jaw bichirs?

They grow slowly. I had one in a 125 for a couple years, it seemed fine, bichir was only about 14" i believe. Might be quite alot of bio-load with all those other fish though once they are fully grown.

I would *not* put an ornate with african knives, those are just expensive snacks. I wouldn’t put an ornate in a 125 let alone with some of those other fish.

fishhead0103666 the knife fish are pretty fast and get a decent size 8-10"

Arent Afer Knifefish super aggressive? I wouldn't keep an Ornate in a 125, especially with those tank mates. I think Blackspotted would work, and I dont know anything about the Odoe Pike. Afers are also *expensive*.
