Ornate Bichir Price?

I picked up three ornates this past weekend.

The one I got from the LBC cost $25 and was 5"

The other two from SGV were 4" and cost $35 a piece.

Those were pricey, but their pattern/color was nicer, so it was worth it.

I got an ~8-9" ornate for $50 just this week.

The going rate for a Sengal bichir here in Bangkok is 150baht ($4) but I have seen them as low as 10 bichirs together for as little as $7 US.,Saddled bichir is 350 Baht($10) and the Ornate is the most expensive at 550Baht ($16) all bichirs at this price are 8-9 inches but these are bred on farms in Thailand for the pet trade.

I got mine from snook..same size for 35$ i believe.

A LFS near me is selling a 4-5" ornate bichir for $60.

Is this a good price? This is the 1st time I've seen them for sale or in person.

That is $20 cheaper than they are in my lfs currently. If its the first time you have seen then thats a good price. But I ordered mine online last summer.

holy crap then I got me an amazing deal at my LFS it was the first time I saw bichirs other than the senegal up for sale cause I discovered a good store in trenton. they were selling ornates labeled as del bichirs for 30 dollars. I am so tempted to buy but I dont have the room ahhhhh. store has a pretty good stock if any of you are in NJ stop by petsplus they have one seriously cramped pacu I feel super bad for it.
