possible ammonia spike in your tank. Also I would not feed chicken that very well could have been the cause and made the water go bad. especially if it was raw chicken. . all kinds of bad bacteria in raw chicken. honestly you were better off not feeding the ornate at all until you got shrimp or some other kind of feed.

If not in a hospital tank I would do that go bare bottom with aerator. If you cant see any issues that are obvious parasites, cysts, bulges, etc. And you've been keeping him in clean water. Than your best guess is either a bacterial or internal parasite but these might show themselves ie bulging stomach, worms out the butt. I would start a broad spectrum antibiotic like neomycin. Try to feed a quality pellet and just look for any signs in your water, fishes poop color may tell you, and fish. Do 24 hour 100% water changes until he improves. Might even be digestive issues may try some Epsom salts.
Aquanero Aquanero might be able to suggest a better treatment course.

Whatever tank or container you have him in you need to dose with aquarium salt and methylene blue and do 50% water changes daily. The salt/MB combo will help him with O2 while he's in this state and also help prevent any secondary infections. Make sure theres a good O2 source in the tank as well. Don't bother trying to feed him until you see signs of improvement. He most likely wont eat, but if you want to try make sure to remove the uneaten food immediately after trying.

Hi thanks for the quick responses. I havent tried feed him yet... He is in a hospital tank. I have added salt and iam doing water changes everyday. I think it was a internal infection his stomach was bulging out.. Now he doesnt seem to show any sickness. However he has trouble moving. His been in the hospital tank for 2 weeks now

Do you have methylene blue? is it available to you? Also, if his stomach is inflated I would try dosing Epsom salts as well, virtually harmless and if its an internal blockage they will help relieve that. If dosing the hospital tank doesn't seem to help, dissolve some in water and use an eye dropper to get a little into his mouth. I had to do that with one of my senegals, it worked like a charm.
