Ornate Bichir Sick????

I think my ornate bichir may have gulped too much air last time he went up for air or whatever. He's been swimming at the top recently and when I poked him he swam downards but after a while his butt pulled him to the surface. but relaly its not funny im relaly worried

How will I feed it? as the jardini hits floating food first and the endli and dat hit food on the floor before him if he even does swim downwards
