Ornate Bichir Sick????

my Ornates gone without anything more than 5-6 maybe 10 at most Brine Shrimp for 2 months

How will I feed it? as the jardini hits floating food first and the endli and dat hit food on the floor before him if he even does swim downwards

Feed him after dark, when they others are asleep he will have all the food to himself lol. But feed the others full then turn out light and feed your Poly.

Same problem with one of my ropefish currently, tail keeps dragging him back to the top. It's been at least a week now and he's still hasn't gotten the bubble cleared out. Other than that he seems fine.

so far , my new ornate hasnt eaten for almost a week now, i drop silversides every night, but i think my clownknife is eating it loL. but bak to your post, hell be aiight,

LOL i have the same problem in my tank. i try to feed my other fish but my silver just keeps munching out piece after piece. he gets a huge bulge but he can still eat more!! ive had my retro bichir for about 3-4 months now and he just barley started eating pellets a couple of days ago. he went on a 3 month hunger strike but he is very active and swims all day. he would look at the food and bounce out but now he eats about 7 pellets. only got him to eat a couple times but hope he grows. good luck with your ornate im sure he will survive the hunger strike just keep trying. try to get all the other fish fat before you try to feed him. also keep trying to feed different foods.

i feed massivores and silversides, and also i feed rosies to the dat as im still ewaning it onto mp so the leftover mp the bichirs SHOULD eat, no idea if they do or not
