Ornate bichir weird behavior

I have this ornate bichir for over a year and it just started doing this for a few days now. I also have seen it flipped over, struggling and always breathing hard. The endlicheri never bullied or disturbed it and the water parameters are fine.

Hmmm does seem weird. The ornate looks to be defected. kno4te Rocksor Deadeye

what does it do when the lights above the tank are off? It might of rammed itself really hard against the top or side of the tank, and suffered some damage (either to the head or the spine). The swimming seems awfully stiff in the upper area, rather than serpentine.

I don’t know a lot about bichirs, but I agree with Rocksor that it looks like result of an injury.

Yeah maybe it might have hit it's head because it easily gets shocked and swims fast alot

Might not be defected because this just only started happening
