Ornate bichir weird behavior

From my experience with Ornate Bichir had 3 and 2 of them including a Delhezi would spook easily. Try approaching the aquarium slowly. I read often that my Bichir doesn't bother the other one and imo that's not always true. I've had dominant Bichir that would nip at other Bichir for territory.

Some members keep several together in the aquarium together so that probably helps with no territorial issues.

Swimming is rather odd, like it injured itself.

what does it do when the lights above the tank are off? It might of rammed itself really hard against the top or side of the tank, and suffered some damage (either to the head or the spine). The swimming seems awfully stiff in the upper area, rather than serpentine.

Think it’s from trauma too.

Yes agree had that happen when Bichir would spazz out and swim into aquarium glass.
