No idea sorry cept its probably CB(captive bred). How much?

I actually had my wife post that for me while I was at work, and I think I told her the wrong company name. It's actually TFD- Tropical Fish Deliveries that I was looking at. American Aquaculture had some other stuff I was looking at. The price wasn't bad for the ornate- $30 for a 5-6" ornate. But I got my delhezi from them, and the delhezi has a pucker in its tail. I don't want to spend $30 on a fish to end up with a deformed one.
Thanks.

Heh. The philippines may be a little different, but around here, there are NO Polypterus. Almost two hours away there's one pet store with a couple polys (senegalus, albino senegalus, ornate, and delhezi). The senegals are cheap- around $10, but I believe the delhezi were around $30 and the ornates were over $100. And that's the ONLY place I've seen them at all.

Anyone know of any pet stores in the Pittsburgh area that have ornates at a decent price?

The one thing to keep in mind is that TFD is a wholesaler so the individual quality might not be as high as one you can pick for yourself. When I order fish for myself through my shop I always order extras then pick the best and work out a trade for the others (speaking of a different wholesaler as I have not personally done business with TFD). If you want quality then you might want to try Rehoboth Aquatics as there are several people on here that can attest to the high quality of fish. You might still get one with imperfections because those will be wild caught. Infinate Aquatics is another well respected vendor in the Bichir world.

when I visited San Fransisco I saw ornates for 40$ I just thought there might be ornates that could be 30$. But if you can't find others for 30$ then I suggest you get them even if the quality is not so good.

If you want what should be a quality poly sight unseen there are various vendors here that are reliable. None with the same reputation as Toyin who owns Rehoboth Aquatics. I've bought polys from Toyin and have never been dissatisfied.

If you work with the other suppliers that are well known you should be happy with whatever poly you purchase.
