the delhezi is one of my fav bichir! To anwser ur question, i temporarly keep my baby delhezi of 4 inches in a 30 gal tank with my albino bichir. once it grows into an adult, he'll need at least a 60 gal tank (the bigger the better). They grow to 14 inches, which is a common max size lenghth to many specis of bichirs!

Ornates can grow up to 24", there is no doubt about it.
But typical aquarium ornates only hit till 18-20" mark
