I'd like to know that too.

Wow awesome, thanks for posting them up! :)

Im on youtube and asked about them and babies ,he said:
Around the time of the video's i found 2 babies about 3/4 of an inch long. I moved them to smaller tank with other small fish (gold fish and 2 pleco) never to be seen again :( not sure what happened to them ? died or eaten no idea.
The pair are doing well but i dought they'll ever breed in this tank cause its to small (30 gal) They were in 52 gal at the time. They are tough as nail :) last winter they almost froze when we lost electricity for 4 days :( water was at 40 F. they looked dead, gill werent moving and they were vertical with nose out of water. After slowly raising temp by boiling water they revived and started eating again after 2 days :)

Yeah I just read through the comments as well. If I didn't see the vids myself, I wouldn't believe that 2 18"+ ornates bred in 50 Gallons of water. They must be cramped in a 30G now though. Great Vids, thanks for posting.
Really makes you think that maybe the drastic temperature changes triggered the breeding. Seems like this owner keeps their fish in less than what we consider "optimal" conditions, but that did not factor adversely in reproductive success. Very cool.
