Ornate growth rate

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks bro:)!!! I feed him shrimp twice everyday. I change the water every 2 days to make sure the water is pristine. Should I keep the tank bare bottom or add substrate and plants because he is always hiding behind the filter. I think he is scared, he rarely moves but eats well.
It really depends on what you want. Personally in a 10g grow-out that won't last too long I wouldn't put any substrate in there, just to make cleaning easier. If you plan on using the 10g and will use the substrate anyway then I would go ahead and put some in there, but if you are really just using this tank as a grow-out then I would keep it empty to help make maintenance easier on you.

These are excellent measurements . I saw one in a fs with black and white markings. I was not sure if this was an ornament e. Place is bit far if I go and they have it, I will get it

Yeah iam only using this tank as a grow out. I will just add a bit of driftwood and maybe some sand to make the bichir feel more comfortable. Tank is small so maintance is easy. Once he hits another inch or two he will be moved to the 125 gal
