Welcome to the obssession :)

if you get a silver aro it will out grow a 200 gallon silver aros get 3 feet eazy and some times 4 feet a 300 gallon or so will be needed to house a silver aro for life try a tank around 8 feet long and 3 feet wide for a sliver aro if thats a problem mabye try a black aro they have a hard time getting 3 feet long they can but useually stay a little over 2 feet like 28'' long useually

the ornate will be fine make sure the 25 gallong is cycled then get one as small as you can it should have a few weeks before it out grows it make sure its in the 90 gallon by the time is over 8'' or so 6''-7'' would be best but you could get away with an 8'' bichir in a 25 if you did big water changes and had nothing else in the tank

The aro, the bichir and the royal pleco are all doing fine in a 90 gallon now. The silver is less than 5 inches big, will be in a 225 by may and when the time comes, will be in a custom built tank (uncle works with glass...easy to make a tank).

I try to do the most research possible before purchasing a fish, but it's always good to have someone else who's had personal experience give their opinions as well. Right now the 90 looks so severly understocked that's its not funny. But I know that won't last long LOL.

The bichir ate well last night and is actively moving around the whole bottom of the tank.

ive been growing my senegal and del in a 10g for the last 2 months and they have been doing great. both were about 2.5" at the beginning of jan and now bother are about 5". so a 25g should be good for a while
