does anyone have problems with their orntate bichirs having some kinda protrusion on their back. If so any clue what it is?

Nope, my ornate has a smooth back. Is yours more of an arched spine or a growth of tissue? Again, pics would assist.

was it something like what BK and i posted? You may try doing a search for 'bent bichirs' to see the old posts. If so, maybe this can ease you up a bit... both our fishes survived.
