If it is v related once you fix the issue , the polys will instantly stop the irratic behavior. If you don't have a voltage meter you could unplug all elec devices on the tank wait a few min and see if he calms down- as a test

In my experience ploys are more susceptible to voltage than cichlids

He has been a little calmer today. But has done the floating thing most of today. I cut my finger open and stuck it in my tank and didn't feel anything so I'm not sure if it is stray voltage.

just don't have the time to go out and by this stuff besides i don't drive yet(not old enough).

Also, he is eating normally. just downed a ton of blood worms.

i noticed with my bichir endli he rubs his nose at the glass after i do 30 percent water changes. this continues until the next 3 days after ward he would calm down. btw i dont use any filters or aerators. just water plants and good ol sunlight
