Thanks for the help dudes, i will keep him seperate from smaller fish, just want to thin out my tanks for some boscs and iguana that are coming soon :D

yeah i think it varies fish to fish...my 13" ornate is in with severums 2" and some bristlenose plecos about 3"4"...never even bother them...doesnt really pay any attention to them and he free swims 85% of the time... he could easily eat alot of fish in there but he hasnt...and doesnt seemed interested..he is also on a all pellet diet...

Yes they will get eaten.
They have perfected their ambush skills for many millions of years pass down trough DNA. Barbs and danois only came later. Even the fastest fish in the world will still get eaten as long as it fits in their mouth.
Seen this manyy times over they WILL be eaten. In fact I noticed fish you never would have thought would get eaten go missing. Also remember that your ornate is gonna grow alot faster than the barbs :nilly:

I agree with tcarswell. I never realized that 1 of my angels were missing. (not until i notice a large bulge on my ornates tummy). It was a big angel. maybe that is why it looked tasty to my ornate :)!
