i have 2 goldies in my tank...that is what got me in to fish tanks

Goldies are fine... In a species tank or pond, but IMO all they do in a cichlid tank is foul the water and look out of place...
Unless perhaps you have them in with BP's, but those aren't real cichlids anyways...
