You might want to be careful especially if it's a silver because some people believe that drop-eye is caused by trauma from bumping their heads on the tops of tanks. Anyways, I also keep my jardini aro with a couple of oscars. The Doctor.

I agree you will be rolling the dice ... three outcomes: silver kills oscars, oscars kill silver, all live happy ever after. It really does depend on the temparament of each fish.
 
I am going to get the arowana next week and he'll come with the tank. I will be growing the oscars and arowana out.
 
I heard one story where all the fish lived fine... then suddenly out of the blue the two oscars ganged up on the aro and tore him to peices. :(

Oscars are truly unpredictable fish. Good luck though, in a large tank it should be just fine!
