Yeah the attacking of glass was no concern. I was wondering why he wasnt eating but the giant danio meal would explain that.

He didn't eat any danios? I think he was so interested in "attacking" me though the glass that he didn't see my hand(he knows it is meal time when he sees my hand with food in it).

it has 1 emperor 400. i also do a 40% WC weekly. the tank is 75 gals. I will test right now.

A single emperor 400 is not sufficient for the bioload of an oscar that size. You do need to add another filter to that tank. I suspect u have water quality problems...

78 to 81 degrees, along with the water change inspires mating. Even if they don't have a mate.
But on the other hand, Oscars can be bi-polar, One day they will eat from your hand.
And the next day, They may nip at it?

I use 2 emperor 400's. Plus a 2217 Ehiem canister filter in my 150Gal oscar tank.
Along with weekly water changes. And it still isn't enough.

if your water tests fine then another filter isnt neccessary...
