My severum has become quite the wet pet as he gets older. Practically jumps out of the water for food.

melanura / quetzal is the popular one nowadays, but I still love black belts. Great wet pets- who will help you out in that respect greatly as they will basically eliminate there tank mates overtime.

I'll go Old World. Paratilipia polleni, P. bleekeri, or whatever the scholars are calling them these days . These guys get big enough for most home tanks, look great and will beg, follow, and flex on their owners like all the SA /CA cichlids, but won't beat the crap out of the in tank cleanup crew.
