oscar and african cichlid are flaring

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Your point? His fish is 3".

I wondering his point too lol. The only other fish is a small african. I currently have an 8" oscar in a 42bowfront with a blood parrot so i assume thats bad too... but i see no problems. Its really all in the upkeep on the tank and over filtration. I mean 2 fish, one that stays small, in a 60g is fine imo.

Point is the oscar will outgrow that tank. Plus you two assume that those are the only two fish in the tank:screwy:

The point is he has a small Oscar. That tank is plenty big enough for awhile. IV seen 12" Oscars in tanks smaller.

Just because you've seen them in tanks smaller doesn't mean it's right. We've all seen fish in tanks they have no business in. Doesn't mean we encourage this to continue

Yes but in addition to those two he also has "I have a belly crawler pike, green terror, oscar, shiner, and blue zebra" all in a 60 gallon. Now for now that might be fine but in the long run unless he upgrades I see problems

GTs get pretty big too though. He will obviously have to change stuff up in the future... but that is the future im thinking probably 6 months or so.
